Ed Mitchell(Big Ed) and Bill Kehoe can be considered the founders of the group. They peaked the interests of others on campus and brought us together. Big Ed was a great public relations type. He worked in the cafeteria and the Boar's Head(the cafe on campus) so every knew him and liked, so we listened. The group started out small, but we grew pretty quickly because every Sunday we were out in the center of campus beating each others brains out. Unfortunately that was about the only thing we did our first year. By the second year we started focusing on other aspects, other than fighting. We seemed to have the most fun making clothes, and even started with brewing. This is the year where we really started getting involved with other groups, we developed a good relations with the group out of Eau Claire, and they actually helped us in beginning to get recognized as a group. Pointing us in the directions we needed to take. The third year was the year that things went a different route all together--Ed and Bill had graduated so the running of the group fell upon multiple members. I believe that we had about five of us working on keeping the group in shape. Ginger Bohn, Adam Nadler, Keith Dunham, Heather Justice, Steve Monthony and myself took on the role of seneshal. We tried to make sure that the group wasn't all about fighting and I think we did well. We really tried to focus on dancing and other things. That was the last year I was involved, I graduated along with most of the others. We left the reigns in the hands of Adam, who seems to have done well.
